What you are seeing in the eye is that it is squinted more than the other. There is more eye lid overlapping it than the other one. Nice job on the sun lines and the thumb print. You even gave him his scruffy beard. Very nicely done.
okay. I thought it looked great as is, but then again, you have the original to look at. I know last night I was working on a project and said, "It doesn't look right". My husband thought it was okay until he saw the original, then he saw what I was seeing. I'm still trying to get it to work out right.
I'm seeing this piece with different eyes now. I am convinced that this is the true likeness of the photo. Maybe not 100% but I am no longer bothered by the eyes. A few hours away from your drawings does wonders.
I don't see anything wrong. It's great. I can't see your reference. But maybe the right eye jumps out because the medial portion of the sclera is lighter than might seem appropriate. But if that is what you saw. Then it is perfect. It looks perfect to me. It's way better than I could ever do.
Thank you. Yeah, I tried to mess around with it in photoshop so that I wouldn't ruin the original. Couldn't figure it out. After a day of not looking at it I now see that it's not as bad as Initially thought. Staring at the same photo for 9 hours fries your brain I guess xD
